EMPHASIS Featured at German-French Summer School on High Power Devices

Neda Nazari from Wood K plus represented the EMPHASIS project at the 3rd German-French Summer Atelier in High Power Devices, held in June at Friedrich-Schiller University Jena. Organised by our sister project The MUSIC, the event brought together researchers and students to explore advancements in high-power energy storage technologies.

Nazari delivered a presentation highlighting recent results from Work Package 2 of EMPHASIS, focusing on the development and optimisation of bio-based activated carbon fibers for use in supercapacitor electrodes. Her talk demonstrated the project's progress in using sustainable carbon materials with high surface area and conductivity, contributing to more efficient and eco-friendly energy storage solutions.

The summer school provided a dynamic platform for scientific exchange, with EMPHASIS playing an active role in shaping the next generation of energy materials.
