INRIM attended the CPEM event in Denver, USA
Alessandro Cultrera and Mauro Zucca, both from INRiM - Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica, presented their research at the Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements (CPEM) 2024, held in Denver, USA, from July 6 to July 12.
Alessandro Cultrera presented significant research on calibrating large capacitance measurements using mutual inductors. Cultrera's poster, part of the EMPHASIS consortium's efforts, aimed to enhance the accuracy of instruments measuring supercapacitors, providing substantial benefits to industries and research communities involved in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
Mauro Zucca presented a 20-minute talk on the repeatability assessment. Zucca also discussed the repeatability effect on the estimation of the parameters of an equivalent circuit of EDL supercapacitors.
The importance of repeatability as an uncertainty variable in defining supercapacitor parameters was a key focus. Repeatability is crucial because it ensures consistent performance and reliability of supercapacitors across different measurements and applications. Controlling and quantifying repeatability involves meticulous calibration and testing procedures, which the EMPHASIS consortium is addressing with advanced methodologies.
CPEM is a pivotal event for researchers and metrologists specializing in electrical measurement methods. The conference focuses on achieving the highest accuracy levels in electromagnetic measurements, covering the frequency spectrum from DC to the optical region, with a particular emphasis on the utilization of quantum effects and devices.
Thanks to our project partners for their efforts in promoting the EMPHASIS project internationally.
